Business is Business, Oh No

There are many things going on in the very first month of 2008 that need your undivided attention. Getting back to the basics is always a healthy move in big or little businesses when there’s this much tension in our economy.

Those who survive the possible recession, problems in the housing market and all the other problems that come with a slow sluggish economy will be the “top dogs” of 2008.

We’ve heard working smart, cash flow and customer service for the past 80 plus years and now businesses are going to have a chance to revisit each of these. Some of the big businesses have rested on their laurels and will have to make some changes in long and short-term goals, but that’s a good thing. This is a healthy way of not just doing the “Same ole – Same ole,” because it creates an atmosphere that verges on survival of the fittest.

Employees, like customers either make or break a business and a happy employee can be worth his weight in gold. Employees are most contented when they know what their job is, how to do their job and that their work environment is safe and user-friendly.

It may be time to revamp your employees training programs and give them the tools needed to work smart, which includes prioritizing techniques, time utilization and initiating short-term and long-term goals giving them a road map that allows them to be the best they can be…

A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better." By Jim Rohn

This pretty much pinpoints what may be potential problems in business today; the wrong leaders will place undue stress on your business. It takes more than several degrees and a lot of BS to be a leader.

If, businesses would accelerate their training program and insure that their leaders are qualified to be leaders, they will have one of the greatest years imaginable.
